About Us

Newquay Sports & Community Centre forms part of  Newquay Education Trust (NET) which provides a quality Health, Fitness & Wellbeing facility for students, staff and the wider community.  We have a strong focus on Educating, Motivating and Inspiring all to a healthier lifestyle.  

 

Our aim is to adopt a set of key principles which include:

 

  • Having a clear social mission - to provide a Health, Fitness & Wellbeing facility for students, staff and the wider community

  • Generating the majority of our income through trade

  • Reinvesting the majority of profits to further the social mission 

 

We will offer a range of membership options to staff, students and the local community which will include the use of a bespoke functional training facility and group exercise classes as well as access to traditional sports and leisure activities. 

The Newquay Sports & Community Centre facility will be open to all:

Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 9:00pm

Saturday & Sunday 8:30am to 5:00pm

 

Academy Fitness Strength & Conditioning Suite at Newquay Tretherras will be open:

Monday to Friday 4:30pm to 8:30pm

Saturday 8:30am to 12:30pm

Sunday 8:30am to 11:00am

We offer Personal Training, Small Group Training, Group Exercise classes which will include:

-Bootcamp (Ladies only & Mixed)

-Barbell

-Circuits

-BoxFit

-Functional Fitness

-Strength Club

-Spin

-Pump

to name a few as well as workshops and specialist programmes to educate users on various methods of training.

I have participated in Simon’s Bootcamp TR7 group sessions for the past 5 years and can honestly say it is by far the best form of exercise I have ever done!  I have always enjoyed keeping fit and have tried aerobics, running, spinning and gym work but bootcamp is different.  Every session is varied and interesting and although I have been doing bootcamp for a number of years I still feel the benefits! Simon is enthusiastic and obviously loves his job, he tailors the session so everyone benefits from people brand new to exercise to people who are fit and work out regularly.  Everyone is made to feel welcome from the minute they walk through the door, I have made some great friends and would encourage anyone to give it a try.
